Youtube - How to get started 2020 (3 things you need)

Welcome and here is a quick post about the 3 things you need to get started on youtube.

Youtube is a platform that allows you to share your views, passions and creative projects via video content. This makes it one of the worlds biggest video content sharing platforms in the world. "Through YouTube, you have the power to connect with a large and diverse audience. Over 1.9 billion people log into YouTube every month—and YouTube has local versions in more than 90 countries."

Here are a few quick tips to help you get started.

1. Set up a youtube channel - You will need to have a g-mail account to do this. When you do this, think about your channel name and what you want it to be.

2. Create your content - This will involve you using some form of video/audio recording equipment (see pic below for an example of a set up you can have) and video editing software. (start with what you have). You do not need to spend a lot of money to get started. Your mobile phone is an excellent tool, to begin with. You can always make a list of your favourite creators and make note of what you like about their channels as a form of inspiration for your own channel. Form there you can decide what your channel will be about, what will be your channel's "mission statement" etc

3. Share your content - Decide when you will share your content. Will it be weekly or daily? It's good to have content already made before this. Consider having 5 - 10 videos ready, so you are not stressed about content.

Once you get these three essential elements out of the way, you are on your way to becoming a small YouTuber. The critical thing is to start. Don't worry about subscribers or watch-time. That will slowly build and grow.
